You're gonna nail this one just fine. By the way, our wedding photographer was so freakin' busy taking shots that he had no time to chit-chat... and he would tell you so. He was awesome.

My New Job
by chuckie77 in.
just had to share this one with you.... i was offered a job on the next series of survivor, working with the cast and crew for 3 months during the shoot.
i thought i was going to have to turn it down because misspeaches wedding is in the middle of it, turns out, they might be able to give me work for 6 weeks instead of the full time, fingers crossed, that would be awesome!!

Good for you! Fingers are crossed.
I'm assuming you'll be working when they're actually shooting all the contestants' adventures? If so, I'm sure they'll have you sworn to secracy; but afterward maybe you can keep up to date on what really happened...?

National Healthcare for the USA
by sammielee24 injust an fyi for anyone interested - there is a major drive on to push the bill forward for national healthcare in the usa.
you can sign the petition by going to http://www.onecarenow.org/.. it has gone through one part of the process last year and now the push is on to get it moved to the next level - it is backed by over 400 groups including the uaw i believe.
it is no longer if it happens, it is only a matter of time as to when it happens.

Frozen One,
I see. I do understand symbiotic relationships. Unfortunately from what I saw, and I was "Management", that definition did not apply for us. We were one of the largest union shops in the US. My take, it took an extremely long time to get simple tasks changed. If the worker is doing the exact same thing every day then maybe it will work; but in the just-in-time environment of business today where bobbing and weaving is not only expected but demanded it didn't seem to work. I asked an "old schooler" once if he ever saw xxxx without unions. I thought he had seen a ghost. He couldn't see it as that all he knew.
If yours works then more power to you and I wish you well. If people were paid on their ability vs. a rate chart would they be better? ...but I digress.
Back to NHC. I still say, I will support it if it doesn't cost me or my company more. Oh, yeah then there's that Not-for-profit thing. I want a doctor that realizes that if they don't do their job well they will have no patients. If they're not great then they make little to no money. If they are great then they make a lot of money. No Slacker Doctors, which will certainly be produced by not-for-profit. -

Get rid of the "slackers" abusing your government assistance programs and you might have more money to fund your philanthropy. If you think that everyone gets better healthcare and we all pay less, I would ask to put into a balance sheet. Then I'll listen. Stop relying on ultraleftistlib.org
Dear SWalker,
Why do homework when I experienced, more importantly managed an "exodus" as you call it? I call it expanding. I realize that companies are leaving the US. I managed a team of ex-patriot managers in India. We saved a lot of money by putting them there and hiring Indians. We could get highly educated workers that really wanted to work allowing us to forego the BS of the whiny American workers that we had hired to do low-level factory jobs. These are the clowns to which I refer so often. The ones that come in with no skills, no ambition and bad attitudes but want to be paid over $10 per hour because we're America and they are entitled and they deserve it.
I'll tell you now, from experience, not from some leftist, lib website that we left the US due to many variables, not the least was healthcare.
Unions? How did we get on Unions? Why do we need unions today? I worked for a union shop. It was highly inefficient, to the point of stupidity. You can't open the door for me as I'm management and it's not listed in your task list. This is stupid and this job cries to be taken away and move abroad... or globalized. All the points that you bring up have already been proven to be rife with errors and problems. Sure something must change, but this ain't it. Hillary is a Socialist and so is her "not-for-profit" program.
I'll tell you to go and earn multiple degrees, work your way through lower-level managment, excel at upper-level management at a multi-national conglomerate before you start questioning my understanding of business, Ma'am. -

If Jehobee and the Dubs are for real and Armageddy really comes, you know that we're all going to die a slow and painful death, simply for this thread alone.

I tried to stay away from this thread, but I started reading. It’s the same argument since day one. Now, back to the last caller’s statement.
Whoa, whoa, whoa... Hillary Clinton's plan would make my picking my own doctor and paying out of my own pocket, get this, ILLEGAL and therefore a punishable offense, maybe some jail time. Then I'd get to see if they do in fact provide healthcare inside the big house, assuming I wasn't stabbed by one of our fine, incarcerated citizens about whom I seemingly should be more concerned.
How's that for Governmental Control? Still doesn't sound like Socialism? What more proof do you need?
Why do Liberals always want to provide for everyone but they want to use MY checkbook to fund their philanthropy. I vote for an NHC plan for which only Liberals pay. You wanna help the poor so much you pay for it. Keep me out of your Idealistic Fantasy Island.
Here’s my Fantasy Island wish: have anyone on welfare prove their inability to work or provide some value. If they can’t prove they are ill, then off to work they go. No work, no pay. It seems that people that are really ill would be strong proponents of this. Get the slackers off the payroll, which would make it much easier to get what is needed to those that truly need.
If you have a crappy job that doesn’t pay well, get another. Get some training, go to school, whatever. It really is up to you! Millions have done it… Why can’t you? I say that you don’t because you don’t want to, not because you can’t. I’ve heard all the excuses. My brother used ‘em all and he’s still a bum that sucks off the Gov’t teat every month.
I can’t get started on the poor, disadvantaged criminals in prison. God forbid we actually hold someone accountable for anything, ever.
There's a little fodder for you. See you in a week. -

In the words of the band, The The in Armageddon Days Are Here (Again):
if Jesus Christ were to stand up today, he'd be gunned down cold by the CIA. ...or he'd be thrown in a Nut Hut. Look at how they treated Prot, in KPax.
I can hear it now, he'd do a trick or two and some clown in the back hollering, "Chris Angel did that on 'Suck Reality MindFreak-05', man!" -

Ensure that he brings extra copies of some Dub mags and maybe even some Book Study books in case you're busted. He can always say he was trying to help you see the light, though he thought it best that you both be just hammered so that he could weaken your inhibitions and you would talk more freely about Jehobee.
Is there any room at the bar for another Atheist? I like beer... a lot.
